The Tuskeegee Experiments are pretty famous. I'm sure most folks know that the US government took African-American men with syphilis and pretended to treat them but instead simply observed the effects of the disease. Some of these men died and some infected their family members.
You would think the federal government would have learned from this and would've stopped experimenting on some of its most disadvantaged citizens, but apparently not.
There has been a lot of emotion invested in the FL & MI primaries and what may or may not happen with the delegates.
Some people, including the Clinton camp, have blamed Obama for MI losing their delegates. Though this is ridiculous on its face sometimes people want to lay the blame somewhere and they might listen to this sort of talk.
A new poll out of MI has some interesting results.
Seems someone on PA didn't get the memo. They're supposed to be mad at Senator Obama for pointing out things people have been pointing out for years.
Instead, the newspaper in Allentown, PA went ahead and endorsed Senator Obama, rather than Senator Clinton, today.
AFTER he said what he said.
At a recent event, when speaking about her vote to go to war in Iraq, Senator Clinton said her standard - "I made a considered judgment, I didn't make a speech, I made a decision and it was a decision based on my best assessment on what would be in the interest of our country at that very uncertain time" - statement (which shows that she had terrible judgment but that's not the point of this post) but then went on to say this...
"I started criticizing the war in Iraq before he did."
It's my understanding that despite a lack of protest before MI & FL were stripped of their delegates (with the assistance of one of her staff members) Senator Clinton now wants their votes to count. It would be an outrage if voters votes didn't count. That's my understanding of the situation.
Hillary Clinton has claimed that her plane came under fire when she was landing at the Air Force base in Tuzla.
She has claimed that she was supposed to have a welcoming ceremony at the airport but instead they hustled her off to the cars.
She claimed that the place was too dangerous for Bill Clinton to go to.
